Dalbeattie Community Initiative manages and delivers services, events and project development to benefit the lives of those living, working and visiting Dalbeattie and the surrounding area.

Objectives: 3.1 The promotion, for the public benefit of the Community, of rural regeneration in the area of social and economic deprivation by all or any of the following means: 3.1.1 the advancement of education, training or retraining particularly among the unemployed and young people 3.1.2 the promotion and provision of training in skills of all kinds particularly such skills as will assist residents of the operating area to obtain paid employment 3.1.3. the maintenance, improvement or provision of public amenities where such maintenance, improvement and provision is over and above that which it is the statutory obligation of the local authority to provide 3.1.4. the protection or conservation of the environment 3.1.5. the provision of recreational facilities for the public at large or those who by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances have need of such facilities 3.1.6. the promotion, establishment and operation of other schemes of a similar charitable nature for the benefit of the community
