'the advancement of education'

We have been part of the community since being formed in 1972 and has had the legal status of a Scottish Charity since 2002 and a SCIO since Sept 2024. We are considered a Community of Interest and operate via a two-tiered model with active membership. We strive to be the Playgroup of choice in our community, providing an invaluable early years pre-school service, socialising children, ready for nursery or school to create an easier transition. Our Playgroup service offers, on average, 125 places per week, 9.31-11.30am Monday-Friday, term time and is open to all children in our community aged 2 to 4 years. Parents pay monthly fees of £8 per session, which allows our experienced and qualified staff to be on the payroll. We also offer limited funded places to ensure inclusivity.

Objectives: To promote the aims of Scottish Pre-school Play Association which are to advance the education of pre-school children with the emphasis on play experience so that they may take a constructive place in the commmunity and also to advance the education of their parents and other appropriate persons.
