The orchestra encourages the study, performance and development of Scottish fiddle and other forms of traditional music by the young people of Ayrshire and beyond. To provide the opportunity to young people of Ayrshire to participate in the performing arts, musical development irrespective of gender, social, religious or racial background and therefore contribute towards their social development. It builds clear self confidence, provides opportunities to perform home, abroad in varying sizes of groups. Building community for players and family members alike through fundraising and social events as well as regular practice.

Objectives: The objects of the Orchestra shall be to educate the public, in the arts and sciences and in particular the art and science of fiddle and other traditional forms of music by the presentation of concerts and other related activities. In furtherance thereof,but not otherwise, the Orchestra shall seek: • To encourage the study, performance and development of Scottish fiddle and other forms of traditional music by the young people of Ayrshire and beyond. • To provide the opportunity to young people of Ayrshire to partiCipate in the performing arts. • To participate in the musical development of all young people irrespective of gender, social, religious or racial background and thereby contribute towards their social development.
