Conclusions relating to going concem In auditing the financial slaternents. we have concluded that the Trustees, use of the going concem basis of accounting in the preparation ol the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed. we have n(rt identilied any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individvalty or collectively. may cast significant doubl on the chaiitys ability lo continue as a going concem lor a period ol at leasl twefve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue. If we identify such material inconsistencies or apparent material misstatements. we are required to determine whether this gives rise to a material misstalemenl in the financial statements themselves. 11, based on the work we have performed, we conclude that there is a fflaterial misstatement ol this other infomialion, we are required lo report that lacl. We have nothing to report in this regard. Page 6

THE EXODVN CHARITABLE TRUST INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S REPORT TO THE MEMBERS OF THE EXODUN CHARITABLE TRUST (CONTINUED) Auditofs responsibilities for the audil of the linancitil ststements We have been appointed as audttor under section 4411 Ilcl of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl Acl 2005 and report in accordance with the Act and relevant regulations made or having effect thereunder. Our objectives are to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misslalemenl, whether due to fraud or error. and to issue an Auditoff s report that includes OLJr opinion. Reasonable assurance is a high level of assurance, but is nol a guarantee that an audit condijcted in accordance with ISAS IUKI will afvlays detecl a material misstalement when it exists. Misstatements can arise from fraud or error and are considered material il, individualty or in the aggregate, they could reasonably be expected lo influence the economic decIs￿nS of users taken on Ihe basis of these linancial statements. Irregularities. including fraud, are instances ol non-compliance wilh laws and regulalions. We design procedures in line with our responsibilities, outlined above, to delecl material misstatements in respect of irregularities. including fraud. The exlent to which our procedures are capable ol delecling irregularities, including fraud is detailed below: We obtained an understanding of the legal and regulatory framewoths within which the company operates, locusing on those laws and regulations that have a direct effect on the delemiination of material amounts and disclosures in the linancial stalemenls. The laws and regulations considered in this context were the Companies Act 2006 and Taxation legislation. We idenlrfied the greatest risk of material impact on the financial statements from irregularities including fraud lo be.. Management override ol conlfols to manipulate the companls key perfomiance indicators to meet targets. Timing and completeness of revenue recognition. Compliance with relevant laws and regulations which direclty impact the financial statements and those that the company needs lo comply with lor the purpose ol liading Our audit procedures to respond to these risks included.. Testing of journal entries and other adjustments lor approprialeness. Rewewing judgements made by managemenl in their calculalM)n ol accounting eslimates lor potential management bias. Enquiries ol managemenl atx)ut liligation and claims and inspection ol relevant correspondence. Reviewing legal and professional fees lo idenlily indications ol actual or potential litigation. claims and any non-compliance wilh laws and regulalbons. Because of the inherent limitations of an audit, there a risk that we will not detecl all irregulari118s, including those leading lo a material misslatemenl in the financial stalemenls or non-compliance with regulation. This risk increases the more that compliance wlh a law or regulation is removed Irom the events and transactions reflected in the financial slatemenls, as we wll be less likely lo become aware ol instances of non-compliance. The risk is also greater regarding irregLtlarilies occurring due to fraud rather than error. as fraud involves intentional concealment. forgery. collusion. omission or misrepresenlalion. A further description of our responsibilities for Ihe audit of the financial slalemenls is localed on the Financial Reporting Council's website al.. www.lrc.or -uklauditoisres nsibililies. This description forms part ol our Auditorfs report. Page 8
