The charity is set up to provide occasional events showcasing the best of Scottish Traditional Fiddle Music and to act as a source of information.
Objectives: To advance the education of the public in Scottish fiddle music by:- 3.1 the teaching in Scotland of the indigenous fiddle tradition. 3.2 enhancing the general knowledge of the fiddle, its music and the composers who wrote for it. 3.3 understanding the origins and history and advancing the unique culture of Scottish fiddle music through performance, teaching and research. and 3.4 the creation of an archive for instruments of the violin family, manuscripts, published collections, sound and visual recordings, personal artefacts, memorabilia and other related material and making this information available to the general public.
