The objects of the association are to promote, maintain, improve and advan the education of the public, particularly by the encouragement of the art of music in general. and in furtheran thereof.. (a) to promote the study, practi and development of music in the spirit of Pablo. Casals and Jane Cowan (b} to provide opportunities for high qualty perfOrmanS, turtion, lectures, and discussions in a unique and friendly environment and to do all things neSSary or conducive to the furtheran of the foregoing objects as the members shall from time to time determine. (c) Trustees, Report Last February we held an ECC Play Weekend. Players enjoyed participating in chamber music on the Saturday then an open Play Day was held on the Sunday in East Ord Village Hall. This event was well attended and enjoyed by all. The ECC has continued to provide players for the Thursday Singers conrtS in December and June. Members of the ECC also support other mustcal events in and around Berwick. Due to a complete lack of business decisions to be taken, it has not been necessary to hold a Commtttee MtIng. We are currently preparing a 30-year Commemoration Day for Jane Cowan and her son, Francis. A celebration of their lives and a recognition of their lives and contribution to music in general and, in the case of Jane, to the cello in particular. Students and friends past and present will meet in London for a day of Cello Centre music and other appropriate perfomiances. There will also be a run through of some of the music in the fomi of a Play Day, held the week before in East Ord Village Hall for players and friends from Ber¥ViCk. It is very satisfying and rewarding to know that the ECC continues to share its unique approach to string playing in a wide variety of locations. Page3of7

Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of Edrom Casals Centre I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2025 which are set out on pages 6 to 7. Respective rnsponsibilities of trustees and examiner The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44{1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's ststoment An examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examiner's statement In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44 {1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
