|The|objects|of|the|Society|shall|be|to|foster|interest|and|education|in|the|
|performance|of|musical|and|dramatic|works|such|as|opera,|stage|play,|
|ballet|or|any|performance|of|music,|etc.,|and|co-operate|with|similar|
|Societies and|Organisations|towards|this|end.|
|Summary|of the|main|activities|Society|members,|rehearse|weekly|from|September,|each|year|and|
|in|relation|to these|objects|continue|through|the|winter|months|culminating|in|the|performance|of|a|
|stage|musical|at|the end|of March.|These|performances,|which|are a|focal|
|point|of the|community,|are|attended|by|many|people|from|the|surrounding|
|area.|Over|100|members|of|all|ages|are|engaged|in|many|different|roles|
|from|performing|on|stage|or|working|behind|the|scenes,|or|front|of house.|
|The|youth|section|(KIYT),|which|has|over|40|current|members,|rehearses|
|weekly|throughout|the|year,|learning|stagecraft and|associated|skills.|

Fundraising activities are organised throughout the year at various venues around the town for the local residents.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of | Our Society celebrated another successful year entertaining the local the charity during the financial period =| community and surrounding area. The winter months were taken up with rehearsals for Me and My Girl Musical, which was performed to very appreciative audiences over seven performances at the end of March. An excellent fundraising effort was also carried out by our members throughout the year. The hard work and effort in organising our craft fair, coffee mornings and show week raffles. This much required income helps to cover the deficit normally incurred with staging our annual production along with the day to day running costs of the society. Our youth section, known as Kids Innerleithen Youth Theatre (KIYT) have met on a weekly basis since April 2016 learning stage skills. This year they rehearsed towards Dare to Dream showing in November 2025. Financial review Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves Our reserves have been built up over the years with a minimum of £30,000 being in place as an insurance to cover any major loss which could be incurred in the setting up and producing a major production which did not run. — Be —ee 3 APPENDIX 1
