Objectives & Activities Charitable purposes The Tn Deed states: 'Advancement of UCatIon in the sufyect of pregnancy and the terniination of pregnancy and into the effects thereof upon women whether physical, medical or psychological. The preservation and prot¢ction of wom¢n's h¢alth. The provision of advice, counselling and assistance to women and their parthers and families who are suffering from any physical or mental illness, distress or poverty during or as a result of pregnancy or following an abortio miscarriage, or baby bereavement. The promotion of such other charitable purposes which may conveniently be carried on in connection with the above objects., Activities CIKTrices Dunferniline provides free, confidential support including Unplanned pregnancy support. Pregnancy loss support. Practical support and inforntion. Achievements & Performance Choices continues to provide a valuable service to people in Fife, offering confidential support to people who experience unplanned pregnancy and pregnancy loss, incjuding terniinatioffj miscarriage and stillbirth. Support continues to be offered in person primarily or online via Zoorn if required. We provided 267 support sessions this year. There is a steady demand for our service which leaves some clients still having to wait 3-6 months before receiving regujar support. Clients who approach us for support with unplanned pregnancy are prioritised and are offered an appointment within a week. Choices continues to receive referrals from health professionals and other organisations e.g. General Practitioners, Clinical Psychologists, Community Psychiatric Nurses, bereavement mldwives and other agencies. Choices employs a part-time manager working 10 hours per week and is supported by a team of five volunteers, one of whom is presently on a break for personal reasons.
Financial Revlew Donations from individuals represented the main regular source of fimding for the centre. Choices also gratefully received charitable grdllts. At the end of the financial y¢ar. Choiccs was ¢xtrem¢ly grateful to r¢cciY¢ a large Legacy from a coupl¢ who had bccn SUPFKTrrter5 of Choices since inception, one of whom had been a fonner Trustee (see accounts). Plans for Future Perlods It is anticipated that continued employment of the Centre Manager 711 allow for ongoing promotion of the work of the centre to health professionals and other organisations. with a vicw to s¢¢ing a further incrcase in the number of clÉ¢nt rcferrals.
