To promote the cultural, social and environmental interests of the Community. To encourage the residents of Boat of Garten to participate in these aims. To provide the means by which these aims may be achieved. Current Groups include. Woodland Wheels Project – creating a Pump Park at the Curling Pond site, which is now owned by the Company. Heritage group: having completed the enhancements to the Station Square, including the Information Hub and the Osprey Feather and Horse & Cart sculptures. Marketing/PR/Website group: Social Group Friends of the Garden: the people responsible for maintaining our Community Garden. BoGWiG: The Boat of Garten Wildlife Group exists to encourage interest in and knowledge of the local flora and fauna and manages Milton Loch and Woodlands (which is owned by the Company) and the local Badger Hide. Objectives: 6 The company has been formed to benefit the community of Boat of Garten and environs as defined by postcode PH24 (the 'Community') with the following purposes: i. To advance citizenship or community development, including rural regeneration ii. To advance the arts, heritage, culture or science iii. To provide recreational facilities or organise recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the Community iv. To advance environmental protection or improvement But such that the company shall do so following principles of sustainable development.
