3 The organisation is established for Charitable Purposes only, to ensure sustainable energy use and generation to the benefit of individuals, communities and the local economy, and to combat fuel poverty and in particular, the charitable purposes are: 3.1 To relieve poverty through the development of projects, education and advice so that no individuals live in fuel poverty and without access to affordable energy. 3.2 To advance education in order to improve public knowledge of, and engagement in, renewable energy and energy efficiency issues, so that more people take action in their lives to increase energy saving, become involved with renewable energy initiatives and move towards a sustainable, low carbon future. 3.3 To advance community development by devising projects, educating, advising and improving access to knowledge and skills so that communities build capacity to participate in renewable energy, carbon reduction and energy saving activity.
