Crossroads North Argyll provides respite for unpaid carers in Oban, Lorn and the Isles. We support the cared-for person by taking them out for a coffee, a drive, a walk or we do activities in their own home, such as jigsaws, crosswords, old photographs etc. This respite enables the unpaid carer to get a weekly break from their caring role by meeting up with friends, going to a group, going for appointments, catching up on sleep etc.

Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: (1) To relieve stress on the persons or families caring for elderly or people with physical, mental or sensory impairment. and (2) to care in appropriate circumstances for the elderly or people with physical, mental or sensory impairment who are living alone.
