Charity Trustees
Objectives and activities
The aim of the Scout association is to promote the development of
young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual and social
potentials, as individuals, as responsible members of the local, national
and international communities. The method of achieving the aim of the
association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of
progressive training based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided
by adult leadership.

Structure, governance and management
Constitution
The charity is an unincorporated association. It is constitLrted in terms
of the Scout Association which is a charitable body incorporated by
Royal Charter.
Management
The affairs of the Scout Group are managed by the Group Executive
Committee whose members are elected at the Annual General Meeting
of the Group Council. The 183rd Glasgow Scout Group comprises of a
Scout troop, two Cub packs and two Beaver colonies. The trustees
meet regularly to manage the charity and to receive reports from
individual section leaders.
Trustee recruitment and appointment
The trustees are appointed in terms of the Constitution and are
recruited based on their skills and knowledge of sporting and youth
activities
Achievements and performance
The Scout Group continues to grow from strength to strength. We
continue to provide an excrting, fun filled, action packed Scouting
Programme for around 130 young people.

Financial review
Land occupied and Assets
The Scout group owns the Scout Hall and the surrounding land as
identified by the title deeds.
Details of any surplus
This financial year the group had a surplus of £9528. A significant
proportion of this surplus was due to the group being left a legacy
of £6000 for which we are very grateful. This surplus will be utilised
for the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the hall, grounds and
investment in equipment eg camping gear and Scouting activities.
Statement on the charities, policy on reserves
The Scout Group does not currently have a reserves policy in pla￿.
All finances are available for the furtherment of activities of the
Scouting movement
Future plans
We will continue to provide opportunities for our young people to
develop and grow. Camping, development activities, participation in
sport and fundraising activities continue to be at the centre of next
year's activities.

Respective responsibiLities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are ￿sp9n$Ible for the preparation of the account5 in accordance with the terms of the Charities and
Trustee Investment Iscotlandl Art 2005 and the Chartties Accounts Iscotlandl Regulations 2006 las amended). The charity
trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10111 Idl of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is
my responsibility to examine the accounts as required undef Section 4411) Icl of the Act and to stste whether particular
matter5 have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's statement
My exarnin3b.on is carried out in accordan¢e with Regulation I l of the 2006 Accounts Regulation5. An examinab'on includes
review of the accounb'ng records kept by the charrty and a comparison of thè accounts presented with those records. It
a150 includes consideration of any tjnusual items or disclosLtres in the accounts. and seeks explanations from the trustees
gncerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audi(
and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
