**Objectives:** 4.1 To provide for the relief of those in need through the provision of voluntary unpaid services to patients whilst in hospital and provision of a service to staff at and visitors to University Hospital Crosshouse and Ayrshire Maternity Unit based at University Hospital Crosshouse, Kilmarnock Road, Kilmarnock, KA2 OBE. The activities of the Organisation shall include the provision of a snack bar(s) for the sale of food , snacks, refreshments (non-alcoholic). the provision of a retail shop(s). the provision of a trolley service to wards and clinics. and a service replacing batteries and tubing in hearing aids of patients. These activities are in no way restrictive of the powers of the Organisation to carry out such voluntary work as may be from time to time agreed by them with hospital managers. In addition to the foregoing activities the Organisation may raise funds and invite and collect contributions from any person or persons. 4.2 The advancement of health as from the surplus annual funds generated by the activities and contributions the Organisation will make grants to the endowment funds held by the hospital managers for the purpose of enhancing the accommodation or facilities of University Hospital Cross house and Ayrshire Maternity Unit or for purchasing equipment, machinery, instruments, fittings or furnishings to be used at University Hospital Crosshouse or Ayrshire Maternity Unit or associated clinics.
