APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of During the year the Group has continued to deliver the Scout Programme the charity during the financial period for the benefit of the young people in the local area. This year has been about learning skills for life and offering nights away for all sections, getting out and about around town and helping in the community. The whole group took part in Burntisland Civic week, and took part in the Burntisland Remembrance Parade. We have worked on lots of Chief Scout, Young Leader Belt and Duke of Edinburgh Awards with many completing these through the year. We took part in our first international jamboree since 2011giving a week-long camping event and meeting lots of other scouts and guides from around Europe. Financial review Brief statement of the charity's policy on reserves The Trustees believe that around twelve months of annual expenditure is an appropriate level of reserves in order to cover the timing differences between receipts & payments and to allow for any unexpected items of expenditure (£25,000). Our reserves have been at a much higher level for many years and due to this we are able to assist anyone needing financial aid to attend camps l events and or with monthly subscriptions. Burntisland, KY3 OES Purpose As an organisation we wish to actively engage and SUp￿rt young people in our community to aid their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Any young person be￿￿n the ages of 4 and 25 may become a member. Trustees Trustees are recruiled and appointed in accordance with the Policy. 11th Fife (Bumtisland) Scout Group Independent Examiner's Report Year Ended 31st Marth 2025 Independent Examiner's Reporl to the Trustees of the 11th Fife (Burntisland) Scout Group I report on the financial statements of the 11th Fife (Burntislan(J) Scout Group {"the Group") for Ihe year ended 31 March 2025 which are set out on pages 3 to 5. Respective responsibilities of Trusteos and Examiner The Group's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the acGounts in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 ("the ACV) and the Charities Accounts {S¢otland} Regulations 2008 ("the Regulations"). The Group's Trustees cnnsider that the audit requirement of Regulation 1011)Id) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. 11 is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under sethion 44(1){c} of the Acl and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basls of Independent Examlnefs Statement My examination ts carried out in accordance wrth the Regulation 11 of the CharitEs Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accountsng recoids kept by the Group and a cornparison of the accounts presented with the those records. It also includes consideral'on of any unusual iterns or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters.
