**Charitable purposes The Purpose of Scouting** Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. **The Values of Scouting** As Scouts we are guided by these values: **Integrity -** We act with integrity; we are honest, trustworthy and loyal. **Respect -** We have self-respect and respect for others. **Care -** We support others and take care of the world in which we live. **Belief -** We explore our faiths, beliefs and attitudes. **Co-operation -** We make a positive difference; we cooperate with others and make friends.

## **Achievements and performance** 

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the financial period** 

1. Beavers Report – Heather informed us she had 13 beavers and during the year their activities included a chippy walk, Chinese new year and thanks to a donation of £400 from Thrifty One they had a very successful event at Meggernie. They have a waiting list of 8. 

2. Cub Report – Kathleen said the group has 28 members. They have been working on various badges and had a pack holiday to Craggan which was enjoyed by all. She thanked the leaders for all their help throughout the year. 

3. Scout Report – Ron said the troop had 20 members and during the year they had camps at Templars Park, Dalguise and Fordell Firs as well as a weekend camp at the community field.  Working on their model makers badge was a highlight of the year. Ron thanked Paul Appleton for all his help and hard week during the year. 

4. Explorer Report – Norman said numbers have dropped down to 12-14.  During the year they attended a district camp at Dunning, group camp at Alyth community field and summer camp at Lochgoilhead.  On the DofE front they ran a gold expedition from Inverness to Invershiel and a silver expedition practice followed by a silver
