Hamilton South Townswoman’s Guild Registered Scottish Charity 030993 Financial Report for year ended 31 January 2026 

Our financial year runs from 1‘ February to 31“ January the following year. Trustees are as follows Grace Gentles (Chairperson), Marie Potts (Vice Chairperson), Marie Hannah (Secretary), Sheena Strachan (Treasurer), Fiona Cowan, Moira Eadie, Myra Harthill, Kathleen Hunter, Lynn Lyons, Sheena MacDonald, Joan McCallum Alison Rafferty Joyce Struthers Elizabeth Welsh. The type of governing document is the charities constitution. At 31" January the books were brought up to date and passed to the auditor, Ms Elaine Ramage, for inspection and certified correct. 

At the 1 February 2026 our brought forward totals from the previous year in the General Account was £1947 

£1651 was raised by subscriptions last year (55 members). £1376 was paid to Headquarters in Affiliation Fees. Other income totalled £2152 and covered by such items as teas income,,. Brought forward amount plus income totalled £5750 

Total expenditure for the year was £5179 and covered the items mentioned above plus Guild Visitor, speakers, and other incidental expenses incurred in the running of the guild, such as tea sundries, stationery 

As a result we go forward to the next financial year with a balance of £571 

Our fundraiser account began the year with a balance of £220. It received donations of £67 and income of £638 from Special Efforts. The Brought forward amount plus income was £1289. After paying expenses, we were able to donate £1220 to our nominated charities as . Our fund is now showing a balance of £66. 

Therefore both combined figures for the above two accounts are as follows. Gross income was £7038 with expenditure of £6402. We go forward to the next financial year with a total balance of £637.
