A party to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary of two of our community s biggest fund raisers, WaS welcomed back to the vlllage. Further events were the race night raising funds for the Cygnets Sailing Club; the kAyak symposium run by whlch was a great success and has been tx)oked for next year. In May flower show team hosted the'l)e coffee moming everf arKI alg) the school coffee moming. Iw was the strawbery tea organlsed by another tireless fundraiser in aid of Breast Cancer Now - Beatson Pebbles Appeal. The Gala Day in July bvas a great success and also the lIldh. The Sunday crab racing also pr(KlU record numbers of ts)th people and crabsl AugL6t was the fiower sW whith was beautiful and delioous. September saw a fund raising ceilidh for Shelter Box organised by the Rotary Oub of LLKl¥Jllpl*l. A hilarious Oktoberfest took place in (ktober a s[kY Halloween party for the children.
In November there were two fundrdt9ng events, the Taynish Run used the hall as thelr home base for Macmillan nuw and a luh, organised b, for the TI. During Decemter there will be the annual craft fair that raise5 funds for the pengoners, Christma5 dinner and the children s party. There will also be a preview of rilm about Hans, amazing fshing boat conversKIn. The Tl have had an amazing year with a massNe effort from and his team. We now have communty own&J housing and the Tl has more ideas in the pipeline. The village hall committee have been happy to support the TI as they bring new opp)rtunities and start makirKJ it a pla where young people can afford to live. //aty/L/
