Establish and maintain archives of Scottish Jewry affording access by the public Collect, protect and exhibit records of Jewish communal interest Stimulate study into the history of Jews in Scotland and to provide facilities for the preparation and publication of articles, pamphlets and theses on these and related subjects Heighten awareness in the Jewish Communities in Scotland of their local cultural and religious heritages.

Objectives: To advance, promote, maintain, encourage and improve the education of the public by increasing the public's awareness of Jewish heritage and Jewish culture in Scotland and by encouraging the study of the history of the Jewish community in Scotland by such means and in such manner as may be considered appropriate for the achievement of such object including, without prejudice to the foregoing generality, by gathering, preserving and archiving written, audio-visual and other material in respect of Jewish culture and heritage and the history of the Jewish Community in Scotland and by providing public access to such archives
