Type of governing document The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation and its governing document is its Constitution. It consists of members and temporary house guest members, who must be residents or temporary residents of Lismore. It has a Board of between 6 and 11 trustees, drawn from, and elected by, its members. Trustee recruitment and appointment Under clauses 63 to 66 of the constitution trustees are elected by the members at each AGM. pore sepa ae ee fe To provide relief to the inhabitants of Lismore who have need because of age, mental or physical disability, poverty or isolation, of a rural transport service. Summary of the main activities The main activity, currently, is the provision of a transport service for use in relation to these objects by the members of our island community. This involves ownership and maintenance of a wheelchair-accessible 7 passenger seat vehicle and the provision of a schedule of pre-bookable services, both on the Isle of Lismore and to the mainland. In previous years we concentrated on providing a service to the elderly members of our community over 70 years old. As we have lost some of our elderly members over recent years we have decided to change our policy and provide a transport service to all members of our organization over 16 years old. Hopefully this will encourage some of our younger members to use the car and take advantage of competitively priced transport at this time of rising costs.

Summary of the main achievements of | This is our eleventh year of operation as a SCIO. the charity during the financial period

We did 69 (56) runs in total, 46 (32) runs to Oban and the hospital and 23 (24) runs on Lismore. We carried 64 (65) passengers to Oban and 39 (50) passengers on Lismore. (Last year figures)

We have provided a regular weekly service to Oban Hospital and other specialists this year to people requiring regular treatments. This has been greatly appreciated as in some cases it is the only way they will get help.

We were unable to hold any fund-raising events this year.

We would like to thank our dedicated group of drivers who support the running of the service. Without this generous group of volunteers, the service would not be viable.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy | We have a current bank account with funds to cover annual expenditure. on reserves We also have a deposit bank account with funds put aside to help with the purchase of a new car. If the funds in the current account exceed annual expenditure, then we will transfer further funds to the designated account. At the year end, the total balance of cash funds was £22,961 with £3,145 In our general fund and £19,816 in the car replacement fund.
