**What the charity does:** Auchencairn History Society aims to advance the education of the public in the history of Auchencairn and its environs. This is achieved through regular fortnightly meetings when existing information is showcased and new information is gathered. Historians interview local people, transcribing the results and publishing them on the Society's website. Other relevant events are undertaken throughout the year. For example this year is the the 25th anniversary of the society and also of the Auchencairn Millennium Garden. The society organised the opening of the time capsule in the garden and, with the assistance of children from the local school, the material in the capsule was removed and displayed in the Murray Hall. Later this year the capsule will be resealed with additional material inside which will be chosen by local people.

**Objectives:** The aim of the Society is to advance the education of the public in the history of Auchencairn and its environs
