Home-Start Orkney is a voluntary charity supporting families with at least one child under five, aiming to provide early-intervention, emotional and practical support, helping parents feel less isolated and overwhelmed, and ensuring children’s early years are positive and nurturing. Promote the welfare of families with young children through home-visiting and community support. Focus on early intervention and prevention, strengthening parenting and resilience during the child’s crucial first years.

Objectives: The objects for which the Group is established are:- (a) To safeguard, protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical of children, and parents of children (b) To prevent cruelty to or maltreatment of children (c) To relieve sickness, poverty and need amongst children and parents of children (d) To promote the education of the public in better standards of child care within Orkney
