Objectives: The objects for which the Company is established are to advance the education of the public on the oral history of the people in the Edinburgh area by promoting, generating and fostering interest in oral history in its broadest sense, including without prejudice to the generality reminiscence work, living memory projects, community history and oral history groups. to organise, promote, generate and foster individual and group work on life experiences and history in the Edinburgh area as people remember it. to give individuals, groups and communities confidence, abilities and facilities to relate, write and present their own history for the benefit and education of the public generally. and to involve individuals, groups and communities in new educational opportunities
