Home-Start Glasgow South (HSGS) is a leading family support charity working across Glasgow South. Each year, we assist in the region of 300 families and 700 children. We believe that “childhood can’t wait” and that every child deserves the best possible start in life. We deliver person centred support, to vulnerable children up to the age of 8 and their families. Our support model is based on providing volunteer support directly within the family home, for up to three hours each week. Our main programme • Intensive Family Support Work • Weekly antenatal and perinatal groups across Glasgow South • Specialist activities for Dads • School based support • Housing support Evidenced and relationship-based support • Circles of Security • Baby Steps

Objectives: a) to safeguard, protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical of children and parents of children. b) to prevent cruelty to or maltreatment of children. c) to relieve sickness, poverty and need amongst children and parents of children. d) to promote the education of the public in better standards of child care within the area of Glasgow South and its environs.
