PRAY FOR SCOTLAND - TRUSTEES, REPORT for the year ended 31 March 2025 The Trustees present their report for the year ended 31 March 2025. Governlng Document & Trust Purp Pray for Scotland was first established as an UninC<Mpc associatK)n known as the Scottish Prayer Centre in 1999. The charity changed tts name to Pray for S¢otLand in March 2002. The ains and purposes of the charty are to.. promote the advancment of religion and in particular to advance. Pfopagate and disseminate the Christian Gospel in the United Kingdom and overseas. promote and encourage prayer for the Church, Nation arKI Christian leaders, and for revival and transfomiation in Scotland., promote Christian fellowship amongst P80ple of all denominattons by enabling them to come together in the life ol prayei through conferences, teaching seminars. national ca118 to prayer etc.; unite prayer nehvorks by identifying and encouraging eXistm national and local pray8r nelworks, In order to focus prayer on the spiritual needs of Scotland; support and maintsin those Christian workers nominated by the Trustees in the implementallon and fulfilment of these aims and purposes. Tru•teo• R8orurfment The Trustees who held office during 2024125 were: Maurice Howson Ichainnan) Alistair Barton (Director) Steve Saunder$ Tnjstees are recruited following recommendation by the existing Trust88s and by personal invrtation. Trustees will already be familiar with the Trusvs purposes and WOFk and they must fully support the Trust's aims. Before deciding whether or not to accept an invitation to becom a Trustee, an individual may attend a meeting as an observer. Inducth?n & Training A new Trustee is provided with copies of ihe current years minutes and latest annual accounts. There is no formal Trustee training programme. However Trustees are kept up to date with curront issues affecting charities and Trustee r8sponsibilrties by the Director and through information from organisalions such as the Office of the sCtttsb Charits Regulator (OSCR). Me8tings in 2024r25 The Trustees and the Cor8 Team met 4 times in Perth during the year to review current activities and discuss proposals for future actÈvilies. Trustees also kepl in touch infomalty by 8mail or telephone, and the ChairTnan met with the Director. The Core Team also communtcated by email and phone.

TRUSTEES, REPORT for the year ended 31 March 2025 Review of activiti Tmstees The current Trustees approached potential new Trustees informally durin9 the year but none of those contacted were able to accept the invitati¢)n ts join the Board, due to olher commrtments. Publications & intemet Requests for the Fatherfs Love Letter leafflel continued lo be received from around the nation, including some from new ¢hur¢hes and individuals. Through the generosity of supporters who donated towards Ihe costs of printing arKI FKJStage. we were able to continue supptying the leafiets at no cost. A ministry which gives them away in the centre of Edinburgh took a fresh suppty of 30.000 and several other amounts of over 1,000 were provided to thurches arKI a local Foodbank. as well as many srnaller amounts to individuals. The total printed since they were first produced in 2007 reached 1.136 rnillion. Production of &letters continued throughoul the year, on average arnd two each month. Posltfve feedback showed these CAMtinued to be appreciated by many receNing them.. OnJin8 pray8r gathering A new venture. the online prayer gathering, hosted by the Director and the Scottish Director of CARE, began in April 2024 and has continued on the third Monday evening ea¢h month. This ha8 been a successful project, with attendances rising from around 30 to average of 60 - 70. A series of invited guests led prayer for specific areas of S¢))tl8nd and on current ItueS. StAnd in the Gap StAnd in Ihe Gap was a call to the church in Scotland to pray for the nation over the 72 hours from 28th 3DIfi November 2024. A wide range of church and other leaders contributed short videos and prayer points whi¢h were broadcast on a dedtcated YouTube thannel as well as via Facebook and Instagram, with each leader's contribution providing the basis for one hour of prayer. The feedback was very tive wrth several thousand eThJaging via ea¢h of the social m8dia methods. Connecling th8 Isl8s Connecting the Isles is an informal group of prayer leade from the four UK nations and the Republic of Ireland, attended by the Director a Core Team member. The group continued to meet onllne each month, and in June 2024 hekl their annual gathering at a retreat centre in Wales. P8rt18mentary Prayer Scotland tppsj Several team members partKipaled in the weekly PPS prayer. meetings, which continued online with around 40-50 participating each week. plus a monthly in-parson meeting in Edinburgh, includirYJ attendance resuming at Hotyrood at the start of the Parliamentary session that afternoon. SUPP Iscotland United in Prayer k>r P8rli8ment] SUPP is the Iwicevyearty prayer meeting al Hotyrood. in May and November, hosted by one of the Christian MSP'S. In 2024125 the Director provKling support by recordin9 the registrations for each SUPP meeting. Generdl The Director, memter5 of the Core Team and Tnjstees participated in many of the 'one-off and regular onllne prayer meetings. days of prayef etc. that continued in ScotL3nd and throughout the UK. many of these being online. Through these, our range of contacts throughout the UK and beyond continued to inGrease.
PRAY FOR SCOTLAND - TRUSTEES, REPORT for tho yoar ondod 31 March 2025 Future dovelopments A priorty for the Trustees and Core Team is to seek nv4V Trustees to replace those who have retired and we plan to g8t back to some 'in person, events. Online meetings will also continue. including the monthty online prayer gathering. as will the circuL9tion ot e-letters and a greater use of social media. We will continue to promote prayer in the nation wherever opportunities arise and to encourage national and local prayer leaders in churches, fellowships and other prayer ministries. We will continue to develop networking, strong relationships and joint events with other prayer ministries. Financial Roviow Total income in 2024125 was £8.132 {2023124- £9,084) and expenditure was £9,352 (2023124 - £8,208), resutting in a def1t of £1,220 for the year. During the year, there being no plans to resume activities under The Turning, the funds being held for that werè absorbed into general funds. Taking into account the total cash balance of £12,503 brought foNiard at the end of March 2024. the overall Pfs position at 31 March 2025 was a surplus balance of £11,283. The Trustees are satisfied that PrcedureS are in place to ensure that all financial transactions are property authonsed and that the actprfrties of the charity are in accordance with the aims and purposes.
