FINANCIAL REPORT FOR AGM 24TH JULY 2025.

To be read in conjunction with the financial statement dated 22[nd] July 2025.

  1. Once again the clubs accounts for 2024-2025 are in a healthy state and have been successfully independently examined.

  2. The accounts for 2023-2024 were accepted by OSCR with minor comments.

  3. There was a surplus of £862.00 for the last financial year.

  4. Main expenditure items were;

  5. a. Seabird monitoring boat hire - £840.00

  6. b. Purchasing 2 sets of binoculars with Gerry Owen’s fund - £548.00

  7. c. Hide maintenance – Kilconquhar board walk, hide painting and equipment - £687.98

  8. d. Meeting facilities – Dean Park hotel room hire- £600

  9. Income is healthy due to subscriptions being up over previous year by £840.00 to £6095.00, compared to £5255.00 for previous financial year.

  10. Gift aid has still to be claimed for the 2023-2024 year, claiming delayed due to registering as the new treasurer – Gift aid will be claimed in the new financial year (2025-2026).

  11. The club continues to subsidise the Seabird Monitoring boat hire for members at a cost of £840.00 (unchanged from previous year)

  12. Meeting facilities charges are on a par with previous year, with a number of well supported meetings and talks. Going forward, a new lower cost venue has been agreed to cut the committee meeting costs but retaining the Dean Park hotel for key talks etc.

  13. The club also contributed fully £291.75 for the installation of the Remote and Live bird call monitoring Birdweather PUC installed on the Crail golf club green keepers building.

  14. Club funds currently total £19,322.53 compared to £18,420.83 for the last financial year. An increase of £901.70.

  15. Therefore financially, there is no need to alter the membership fees and members are requested to propose ways of using the funds to the benefit of the club or local community.
