• Worked in partnership to help improve the well-being and community spirit of the island community. • Provided 3 housing units for affordable rent, and acquired two empty homes for refurbishment • Continued to employ a community development manager • Provided community market garden facilities to grow local food • Operated a community heritage & art centre and a small boat service. • Refurbishment of heritage building at Nouster boat store • Community engagement to develop an island carbon audit and community climate action plan • Operate a community transport scheme providing an ad-hoc ferry service

Objectives: 4.1 To advance community development for residents on the island of Papa Westray and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious, or other opinions, by associating with the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and residents in a common effort to promote educational, cultural, social and other leisure and recreational activities among residents of Papa Westray, and to foster a community spirit for the achievement of these so that their conditions of life may be improved. 4.2 To promote the advancement of education and learning, including training in skills relevant to securing employment for the benefit of residents of the island of Papa Westray. 4.3 To promote other such charitable purposes for the general benefit of residents on the island of Papa Westray.
