Objectives: I direct my Trustees to hold and apply the residue and remainder of my means and estate and the proceeds and produce thereof as a fund to be called 'The Brown Forbes Memorial Fund' in perpetuity for payment of such part of the income and such part of capital as my Trustees may in their sole discretion think fit to any suitable charitable body concerned with the preservation or reinstatement in Scotland of the natural beauty of the countryside. the coastline and any gardens or their wild life and to encourage and promote the enjoyment thereof and the involvement therein of members of the public including also the preservation or restoration of historic buidings in the ownership of a charitable organisation. Declaring always that my Trustees shall have complete discretion as to the amount of said payments and how they shall be allocated from time to time.
