**What the charity does:** The Friends of the French Institute were formed twenty five years ago to support the deep ties between Scotland and France. The Society believes in finding ways to draw our two countries together. The Friends promote the language and cultural links between the Scots and the French, and help ensure that young people in particular benefit from the opportunities of a rich tradition of education, literature and arts, shared between both nations.
