Our focus is increasingly on improving the life chances and opportunities of children. We do this by building parenting capacity, supporting parents to work with family practitioners and facilitating the development of parenting skills.

Beneficiaries: 'Children or young people','People with disabilities or health problems','People with a particular ethnic or racial origin','No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: 1 The company’s objects are to: i)Educate families living in Scotland and the general public in more effective ways to care for children, and in the importance of sound relationships. ii)Assist parents and carers, especially those most in need, to improve and enrich family relationships. In furtherance thereof, but not otherwise, the company shall seek to a. To provide courses and ongoing support for parents and carers b. To design and adapt courses to the needs of parents c. To provide information and resources to assist parents in their efforts to enhance family well-being d. To provide individuals with accredited training and certification in the delivery of Parent Network Scotland courses and ongoing support. and to authorise, oversee and support them in all aspects of their work for, and in association with, Parent Network Scotland e. To provide opportunities for parents to deliver the services provided by Parent Network Scotland, especially those who have previously participated in its courses f. To provide training for professionals working in the fields of child care, education, health and family welfare g. To co-operate, and work in partnership, with statutory and voluntary sector agencies providing similar and complementary services h. To ensure that the parents voice is heard in the development of national and local policies relating to family life
