The Associatio￿ which w&% fowthd in 1986. is a regi￿ clwity, number SC029006, and
its financial affairs are controlled by the Council. The Council is up of representatives
from the filll member societies who meet twice a year. This eaabl¢s the societies to exchange
infomkation and debate imp)rtant mattets thal affect family historians in Scotland. The
Council defines policy and Ca￿ by disc￿￿10￿ a￿￿ and set satisfactory ￿andardS for family

The Associalion ￿bliSheS a range of publicatio￿ and nKmber societies can benefit
financially by being able lo pwdmse these publicatioL8 at two-thirds of the retail cosL
Two Council meetings were held in March and October. It was decided to continue to hold
Council meetings on Ynom as this allowed more societies to IK rq)rexnted. Unfortunately
th￿¢ was Tho Conference held in 2025 and it is ex￿ that th¢r¢ will nol be a Conference
for the foreseeable future. The Committee ple&%ed to welcome Ekna Fleming a5
Bulletin Editor during the year but conlinue to seek a Vice Chair and additional Committee
members are always welrA)me.
Performance aDd FiDaDcial Review
The clwity ¢nded the year with Totsl Re¢eiMs of £1,503 (2024: £1,50D and Total Payments
of £1,191 (2024: £1,33D, resulting in a surplus of £312 (2024." £170). Income from
subscriptio￿8 remained constaDt. Other In￿Me received was from Publication ￿eS
(including pjstage and miscellarACOUS) of £203.

Restrided Funds.
