LEGAL and ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS and OBJECTIVES of the TRUST
Newport and Zolotarevo Twinning Association [NaZTA] exists to promote and foster
town twinning links between Newport on Tay in Scotland and Zolotarevo in the
Transcarpathia Region of Ukraine together with other informal friendship links,
including cultural, sporting, social, educational, healthy living, economic and tourist
exchanges between the two communities.
The Trustees who have served during the year ended 31" March 2026 were:_

The Trustees Report 2025-26
The continuing war and part occupation of Ukraine by Russia restricts the exercise of
normal 'twinning' activities.The association continues to facilitate the safe transfer of
monetary donations specifically earmarked for 'humanitarian relief to the community
in Zolotarevo. Communication with the Zolotarevo Community has been maintained
however and news of conditions and everyday life has been shared.
At the beginning of the reporting period the association held 'Appeal Funds, of
£207.91 reserved for humanitarian support. The association received further
donations of £556.00 for that purpose from Newport Guild. At year end the
Association held £763.91 reserved for humanitarian support. The Association awaits
specific requests from Zolotarevo for support and funds will be sent when required.
Income of £245.00 derived from seven (7) donations received from 'Friends of
Zolotarevo, to support the association's normal 'twinning' activities. This added to
£6114.58 already held means that NaZTA has £6359.58
Total income for year was £801.00. There was no (£0.00) expenditure for the period.
Thus the Trustees can report £801.00 surplus for the year to 31" March 2026.
The Association's funds on 31" March 2026 total £7123.49 of which £6359.58 are
unrestricted reserves and £763,91 restricted
