Activities
'It carries out activities or services itself'
'the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science'
We like to introduce and promote the history of our village to the benefit of locals and visitors alike through using the many and diverse visual aids set out in our heritage room. School groups, young adult groups and seniors make good use of this facility before exploring the museum. You might say our visiting groups range from Nursery to Dementia! Next year sees our 250th anniversary and we will be part of the celebrations along with the Fochabers Village Association and related local groups. Popular with the local BALL groups (be active live long) are the talks given by trustees (distance no object ) on the history of the area. We have had many queries from USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand trying to discover more detail on ancestors who had emigrated. This is initially done on e-mail but very often we are visited by the families curious to see their family origins. We are delighted to welcome them to Fochabers and do our best to make their visit something to remember.
Objectives: To advance the education of the public about, to stimulate public interest in and care for the beauty, history and character ofthe Fochabers area by any means which is now or hereafter may be charitable in law.
