GENERAL INFORMA TIONABOUT THE CHARITY
The name of the Clwity is Riding For The Disabled CaTrick Group SCIO. It is a registered
Scottish Charity with Charity Number SC028640 and is a Member for the Disabled Association
corporating Carriage Driving ( RDA"). a Charity registered in England with Reference Number
244108.
OBJECTSAND ACHJEVEMENTS
The principal actlvity of the Charity is to promote the objects of RDA by pmviding disabled
people with the opportunity to ride and/or to ca￿lage drive to benefit their health and well being
in the East and South Ayrshire areas.
This object is achieved by regular class¢s held during llomial school t¢nns at Equitation
Centre and by other special ev¢nt5 that are held from time to time. A c105e liaison is maintained
with local schools that hav¢ rcspoTJsibility ror the education of children with disabiliti￿.
Fund raising and promotion of the Group continues to increase local awareness and Sup￿)rt of
what we do. In particular, constant contact is rnaintained throughout the year with the local press
and the local authority volunteer services to obtain maximum publicity and awareness of our
needs and activities.

RISK MANAGEMENT
The Tn￿teeS meet as required and in¢er alia assess the risks facing hc Charity. They believe that
these risks are properly and adequately minimiscd by training and by participation in a policy of
insurance tsk¢n out by RDA, and to which the Charity is a subscriber. and by & policy of
insurance r¢lating to the building at Ayr Equitalion Centre.

FINANCE
A% di.sclosed in the Siatement of Financial Activities on page 3. there was a surplus of
unrestricted fvnds for ihe year amounting to £15,006 (2024 Deficit £1.583) and a surplus of
restricted funds amounting to £50,321. The Trustees are most grateful for all donations large and

l joined the Organisation as the Chairperson in May 24. This year. our groups main efforts were
towards fi￿draISing where we management to attract some significant donations, which will be
put towards our ri)of repair project. We continued to serve eight schools in South Ayrshire as
wcll as some privat¢ participants, totalling 35 childr¢n ￿¢¢iVIng holistic ben¢fits frorn our
organisation. As ever. our Survival is based on th¢ continued support of our volunteers as well as
horse and pony availability. We did have to finish early for the sumrner holiday period due to the
unavailability of ponies but this is considered par of the course when reliant on animals! The
second half of the year saw a fO￿S on the upcoming HRH The Princess Royal Visit (due Jul 25).
Our vision remains to incre&se our rider participation and volunteer count as well as Adentifying
any potential riders to progress to regional competltion.

BASIS OF PREPARATION OF ACCOUNTS:
The Trustees acknowledge that they are responsible for the preparation of these Accounts.
The Trustses have no Restricted Funds and operate one Unrestricted Fund. The Charity is
not registered for Value Added fax. Payments, tberefore, include irrecoverable Input
Vat. The St&l¢mcnt of Financial Activities has been prepared orl a receipts and payments
basis. as required by the Chariti&s Accounts (Scotland) Reg￿latIonS 2QK16 (as amended).

No Trustee rweived remuneration in eith¢r y¢ar nor did any TTh￿te¢ have any interest in
any transaction carricd out by the Charity.
PROPERTY:
The Charity owns a building situated at Ayr Equitation Centre, the cost of which has been
written off in past years. The T￿￿teeS persist in their attempts to negotRate a lease for this
building Wlth the landowner. The property is curr¢JAtly Valu￿ for insurance purposes at
£1,058,000.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES
OF RIDING FOR THE DISABLED CARRICK GROUP SCIO
I report on the Accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 st March 2025 which are sct out on
pages 3 to 4.
RESPECTIVE KbbPVNSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER:
The Charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the Accounts in accordance with the
ternis of thc Charities and Trust¢e Investm¢nt (Scotland) Act 2005 and th¢ Charitiss Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).
The Charity Trustees consider that the audil requirement of Regulation I￿1) (d) of the 2(X)6
Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is rny r&8ponsibility to examine the Accounts as required
under section 44(1) (c) of the Acl and to state whether particular matters have come to my
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT:
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts
Regulations. An exarnination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the chLrity and
a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustecs concerning
any such matters. The procedures undcrtaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit, and conscquenily I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the
accounts.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENr:
In the course of my ¢xamination. no mattcr has comc to my aitcntion
which gives me reasonable cause to believe thal in any material respect the requirements..
to keep accounting records in accordance with Scction 44(1) (a) of thc 2005 Act and
