General Information about the Charlty
RDA Winton Group SCIO is a kottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation with charity humber
SC028608. The charity is a member of Riding for the Disabled Association incorporating ¢arriage
Driving I'RDA"), a charity registered in England with reference number 244108.
RDA Winton Group SCIO {"the charity'l is dedicated to improvtng the lives of people with di*bilities
through the provision of horse ridin8. Through a network of 500 volunteer groups, of which the charity
is one, RDA provides Opportunities for therapy, achievement and enjoyment, improving health. well-
being and self-confidence, and benefiting mobility and co-ordination. RDA is reliant on volunyry help,
donations and legacies to deliver its services.
The affatrs of the charity are regulated by its membership agreement with RDA, and by an RDA
Standard Group Constitution. Its day-to-day management is in the hands of trustees, whose names
appear below.
Objects and achievements
The objects of the charity are to provide, through horse riding, an opportunity for enjpyment,
challenge, friendship, laughter, achievement, independence and confidence to people with. various
disabilities. It is recognised by medical professionals that there are significant therapeutic benefits for
the rider.

In previous years, the trustees have held an annual meeting with the members and helpers to discuss
any matters relating to the charity's activities, and to infomi them of the charity'5 finances. These
meetings have been appreciated by all.

As disclosed in the Receipts and Payments Account on Page 3, in this year receipts exceeded p

by £46,542. The accumulated funds of the charity on 31. March 2025 amounted to £62,903, which
the trustees believe are sufficient to meet foreseeable needs. They believe that the current flnancial

Statement of Trustees. Responslbllltles
The trustees must prepare financial statements which give sufficient detail to enable an appfèciation
of the transactions of the charity during the financial year. The trustees are responsible for keeping
proper accounting records which, on request, must reflect the financial position of the charity at that
time. This must be done to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities and Trustee
Investment {Scotlandl Act 2005. the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Regulations 2006 las ankndedl.
They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and must take ￿3$Onable Steps for
the prevention andlor detection of fraud and other irregularities.

The trustees acknowledge that they are responsible for the preparation of these accotsnts.
The trustees have no restricted funds and operate one unrestricted fund.
The charity is not registered for Value Added Tax. Payments therefore include irrec

Respectlve responsibllltles of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible forthe preparation of the accounts in accordance with t

of the Charities and Trustees investment {Scotland} Act 21X)5 and the Charities Accounts Istotland)
Regulations 2006 {as amended). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation
10(l} {dl of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the
accounts as required under section 44{1) Q of the Act and to state whether particular matters have
come to my attention.
Basls of Independent examlner's ststernent
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts Iskotlandl
Re8ulations 2006 (as amended). An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by
the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those record5. It also Includes
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the
trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that
would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the VIOW given
by the accounts.
