Financial review
Brief statement of the charity's policy
on resetves
For unrestricted funds, any surplus will be used to build up reserves sueh
that the balance al any one time is sufficient to cover one4)alf of the
budgeted expenditure.
For restricted funds our policy is to ensure that tax refunds from Gift-Aided
contributions and interest eamed in the Deposit Fund follow the main
donations to their intended destination.
A pem)anent endowment fund generates income reseNed for the activit￿S
of the various Uniformed organisations.
Details of any deficit
The year reported a deficit of £7.273. Part of Ihis was due lo making
payments to several charities for whom we had been holding fundraised
monies from the fomer Triangles café and also followng signtficant
donations received during fomier members, fvnerals.
The unrestricted account deficit was largely due lo 100% increase in
utilities expense brought about by the end of a previously fixed lem gas
deal and the resumant increase in unlt pri￿ for new fixed deal.
