The Club is of charitable unincorporated association. and the
purposes and adminislration arrangements are set out i
our
constitution.
Trust0• r•crnltment and appolnlmort All of the Committee are normally appointed or reappo
al our annual general meeting. which is held in May ea¢h
year, unless we need to appoinl or replace committee
members throughout the year. due to lack of enough
committee member5 to run the club.
With the new rules, everyone must have a PVG before they
can join the committee.
Objectives and activities
Our objectives are to provide enterlainment to people who may be looking for company due to
social isolation, or loneliness. by providing entertainment on a Thursday nighl for a couple of hours.
Our member5 include elderly. disabled and some have learning difficulties. Some members come
along with a carer. We have members from SENSE Scotland who are either blind, deaf or in p
wheelchair and are brought along with carers.

Charltable purposes
Our purposes as recorded in our constitulion are to provije
entertainment to the elderly. disabled and people with
leaming difficulties in the Forfar area.
Summary of the main activltles
In relation to these objects
We meet in St John's Church Holl on a Thursday evening from
January until May and then start again in September unlil
December. We normally hove 3 outings in the summer. one in
June. one in July and one in August. We have our annLkJl
Bums Supper in January and a Halloween party in Octolser
and Christmas party in December.
We provide a lovely supper and have entertainment mdst
Thursday nights or have a game of bingo or play games, We

Achievements and perfonnance
The commitlee take il in turns each week to provide the supper
for the members and guesls but are only paid lo coveritheir
costs of providing sandwiches. baking. or buying cake&
Somelimes Ihe enlertainers provide the supper.
Some of the entertainers are groups from local churchos. Other
entertainers are the Rolary Club and the Inner Wheel. We also
have Country Dancers. young highland dancers loo arld
people who come and entertain us from the Angus area and
Dundee.
We had a Steel Band, a Church group from Brechin. who were
excellent. We have had the Dee Ukes, a ukulele group from
Dundee, the Carnoustie Traditionals who come along lo
entertain us.

We sometimes have to pay the entertainers who come along
and entertain us. but we are very lucky thal some comg along
and don't charge. On some occasions we give the
entertainers a donation just to cover their travel costs.
We have a jar in which members put their small change. and
the proceeds go lo Lippen Care. a Charity based in Wpitehills
hospital. This year Ihe lotal donated to Lippen Care wcs £2(X).
