To look after, maintain and promote the breed records for the Belted Galloway Cattle in the UK
Beneficiaries: 'Other defined groups'
Objectives: The objects for which the Society has been established are: 3.1 .1 The encouragement of the breeding of pedigreed Belted Galloway Cattle, black, dun or red, and the maintenance of their purity,: both at home and abroad. 3.1.2 To maintain and publish a pedigree register of Belted Galloway Cattle. 3.1.3 The publication of a magazine reporting the activities of show and sale results, rule changes and articles of interest. 3.1.4 The education of the public in the importance of preserving this valuable living gene bank for present and future generations. 3.1.5 The encouragement of show classes and the dissemination of information about the breed and its products by publicity. 3.1.6 The promotion of sales of Belted Galloway Cattle, by auction or private treaty. 3.1.7 The pursuance of such lawful activities that are both beneficial to the Society and conducive in attaining the above objectives. 3.1.8 The registration of White Galloways is part of the Society's remit.
