'the advancement of education'

The IT Centre in Castle Douglas helps people gain the digital skills, confidence, and access they need to thrive in today’s connected world. We provide free and affordable digital training, one-to-one support, and refurbished devices to individuals, community groups, and local organisations. Our aim is to ensure that no one is excluded because they lack access to technology or the skills to use it. Our team offers practical help with everything from using smartphones and applying for jobs online to managing online banking and staying safe on the internet. We also refurbish donated devices, reducing electronic waste while making affordable computers and tablets available to those who need them most. Through our work, we also provide paid placements and work experience opportunities for young people, helping them gain life skills, confidence, and valuable experience for future employment. Everything we do is focused on inclusion, empowerment, and community.

Objectives: To advance education in the field of information technology and to provide training in other relevant skills for the benefit principally of the residents of the Stewartry but also elsewhere within Dumfries and Galloway
