**Objectives:** To promote the welfare of older people in a manner which, now or hereafter, may be deemed by law to be charitable by:  (a) Providing day care in a suitable environment for frail older people  (b) Giving support to older people living in the community by offering opportunities for social integration and shared activities  (c) Assisting older people to keep their independence and to reestablish confidence where it may have been lost  (d) Enabling older people to maintain and renew friendships and bring a new dimension into their lives  (e) Providing support for carers   (f) Promoting equal opportunities for carers
