Article 12 in Scotland works to equip some of the most marginalised young people with the skills and information necessary to empower them to operate as equal citizens at all levels of society. We undertake our work directly with young people, and those who work with them, across Scotland and the UK via conferences, events and rights and equality based training courses/resources and indirectly via our website. Article 12 in Scotland works to make human rights and equality a reality for young people, particularly those young people who are marginalised from the mainstream, via our learning and development, and rights/equalities/UNCRC awareness raising programmes - which are designed to build the capacity and social capital of some of the most marginalised young people in Scottish society. We deliver our learning one-to-one, in groups and online. Our work is underpinned by the values and principles of international human rights and equalities charters and conventions.
