Trustees are elected or re-elected by members of the community at the annual general meeting held each year. The committee may, if required, co-opt members to replace those leaving during the year.
Objectives
The objective of Morvern Community Transport Association is to provide safe, reliable, cost-effective community transport for the people of Lochaline and Morvern.
Activities throughout the year
Throughout the year the community transport has been used by a wide range of the community, from toddlers to pensioners.
The transport has been used for social, educational, sporting and day to day activities. The young people of Morvern have benefitted greatly, in a rural location
with very little public transport or local amenities, the minibus is essential in proving their transport needs. Achievements and performance The transport continues to be well used by the community and surrounding areas, with the community minibus used 114 days throughout 2024. The second minibus was used, during every school day, providing school transport for both primary and h igh school pupi Is. We purchased a new minibus during this year which continues our commitment to reinvest in the Communities rural transport. Our old minibus was sold to Acharacle community and will provide their transport into the future. Reference and Administrative Information Charlty Nam Morvern Community Transport Association Charity No SC027699 Structure. Governance and Mangement Constituition The Charity is an unincorporated association. It is governed by its constituition which was adopted in June 1998. Appointment of Trustee5 The Group is run by a Management Committee that shall consist of no less than five members and no more than fifteen members, elected annually at the Annual General Meeting Membèrs must be at least 16 years old and are elected for three years. Tha members will elect the officè bèarer rolès at thè Annual Gènèral Mèèting. There are three categories of membership of the Group,. il Individual Members- this is open to any individual living in Morvern and surrounding areas. ill Grouplorganisation Members- this is open to all community groups and voluntary organisations working with the community of Morvern and the surrounding area5 iiil Associate Members- this is open to any indivdual or group not living or working in Morvern but with an interest in the work of the Group. Associate membership is also open to statutory authorities, public agencies and privato business with a similar interest. Page I

Achievements and Perfomiance The transport continues to be well used by the community and surrounding areas with the core user being thé young people of Morvern. This includes school outings, and a twicè weekly youth club evening in Strontian. Two small Highland Council contracts, to provide transport for Lochaline Primary School and Ardnamurchan High School pupils, helps maintain the necessary income to run the community transport throughout the year. This year we invested in the replacement of one of our minibuses to ensure we always have reliable. high quality and modern vehicles. 100% electric minibuses have been reviewed and discussed but unfortunately the rural area of the Highland region still doès not have efFicient infrastructure in place to run electric vèhicles. roved b the Trustees and si ned on their behalf- 1310312025 Tran5POrt Co-ordinator Page 2

The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10111 Idl of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44llllcl of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. My examination is Carried out in accordance with Règulation 11 of the Charities Accounts Iscotlandl Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be réquirèd in an audit and, tonsequèntlyi I do not èxprèss an audit opinion on thé accounts. In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements.. to keep accounting records in accordance with section 4411) lalof the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2)6 Accounts Regulations, and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations.
