February until January our letting of the rooms has been good. We have our main groups which are
a Zumba, a Dance class, a knitting craft group and the Wl. We also run a Larder, again to help the
people of the village.
We also get a few birthday parties and for the past two years we have had an art exhibition. We are
also lucky for the NHS to come to our small village to do jabs, which with an aging population this
helps them. Letting out the rooms is our main purposes.
Unfortunately, Hannah had to give up being the Muirkirk Community Association Secretary, and we
thank her for her time and effort and we welcomed Slyvia as the stand in until the next AGM.
All is quiet until October when we have to start getting ready for the Christmas madness. We have
to sort the Village Christmas Lights and arrange for them to be put up by, unfortunately, the same
village volunteers. every year, of which some are in there 705. They need to be sorted and ready for
the switch on. We had a Christmas Craft Fair in 2023, for our very talented local crafters, which
went down quite well, enough for them to want us to do it again this year. So, this year we thought
we need to let more people know about it and decided to get help from the Participatory BudEeting
group IPBI to allow us to have music and a Face Painter for free. We sorted this out for the last
weekend in November, which was Saturday 30 November and Sunday I, December, finishing at
4pm Sunday to allow time to tidy up the hall and go down to the Swich on of the Christmas Lights in
the Minerfs Garden.
It seemed to all go well and if all goes well at the March AGM and we are voted in again we will start
to organize and put dates out for this yearfs Christmas Craft Fair.
