Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of education'

The principal activity of the charity is to run a law journal, known as the Edinburgh Law Review. The charity also supports the publication of scholarly monographs. Much of our expenditure relates to the publishing of these aims, for example, paying copy editors or research assistants. Funds are paid by the charity to Edinburgh University Press in order to support the publication of monographs which might otherwise not be published because they may not be purchased widely. From time to time the charity provides sums to support events which take place in order to develop and raise the profile of Scots law.

Objectives: The object of the Trust is the general advancement of legal education and the knowledge and study of law in all its branches, and especially the law of Scotland, primarily through the publication of 'The Edinburgh Law Review', and the undertaking of all activities conducive thereto
