The Association is a charitable unincorporated association and the purposes and administration arrangements are set out in our constitution.

Recruitment policy

The Committee is appointed annually at the AGM on 28/4/25, held at Newtonmore Golf Club.

Charitable objectives and purpose

The advancement of education

The Group's main purpose is to enjoy the various activities relating to drama. This will also allow the promotion and advancement of drama activities of an educational nature and other activities involving drama for the benefit of the community.

Beneficiaries: Children or young people, Quiz nights were held by the NDG and funds raised to support the whole community that support our programmes.

Activities and Achievements

In this reporting year the Newtonmore Drama Club undertook the following events:

Delivered Quiz nights to support the Drama group held at the Newtonmore Golf Club EB Supported the Alpacca Christmas Event, and had a stall at the Newtonmore Highland Games

Delivered Panto ‘Aladdin’, which had been postponed from December 2024 due to issues with the current Public Entertainment License of Newtonmore Community Hall.

2025 is a house keeping year in which we have works on our policies and constitution to bring them up to date.

Financial Review

Majority of the income within this financial year was undertaken on the basis of a ticket sales for the delayed panto, and 2 quiz nights and 2 other community events that have been very successful in promoting the Drama Group.

Restricted funds

Newtonmore Drama Club has No restricted funds.

Reserve policy

The charity feels the unrestricted closing balance of £5447.24 is enough to continue for a period of six months in the event of no funding being received.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31%t March 2025 set out on pages 4&5

Respective responsibilities of trustee and examiner

<The Charity’s-trustees-are-responsible for the preparation of the accounts i i — S oF the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees considered that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (a) to (c) of the Accounting Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

Basis of Independent examiner's statement

My Examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. An Examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters, the procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
