Constitution The Branch is established under Rule 14 of the Constitution of Ihe Royal British Legion Scotlcind ("Ihe Legion"), rewritten 22 May 2014, and is subject to Ihe control and direction of the Glasgow & Western Counties Aroa Council. Organisational Structure & Branch Meetings The Branch is administered by a Branch Committee ("the Committee")(Rule 15.5) consisling of the officers appointed at the AGM and any additional members as the Branch considers necessary. The duty of the Committee is to exercise a controlling oversight over the affairs of the Branch, to carry out the aims and objectives of the Legion and to carry out any direction given to it by the Area Committee. In addition to the AGM, the Branch Committee shall meet three times during the year lo transact business. SC027033 Independent Examiner's Report on the unAudited accounts to the Trustees of RBLS Millport Branch I report on the unaudiied accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 October 2024, which are set out on pages 4 to Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner The charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the ternis of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). The Trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation l O(l)(d) of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibtlity to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1)(c) of the 2005 Act and to state whether any particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent Examiner's statement My examination was carried out in accordance with Regulation I l of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts. Independent Examiner's statement In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention . l.which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material aspect, the requirements :_ to keep proper accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations (as amended) and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations (as amended) have not been met, or 2.to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
