'the advancement of education','the advancement of health'

Our vision is a UK where mums, parents, families are able to make informed decisions about infant feeding, to access help when they need it and to become confident in their choices. For a new mum or parent deciding how to feed their baby, talking to a trained volunteer who knows about breastfeeding can be crucial. The Breastfeeding Network strives to be the best at what we do and support all who need us -without charge- UK-wide. Our mission is to offer evidence-based information and support, free from commercial interest, to help build awareness of breastfeeding amongst individuals and organisations and to support a parent in their choice to breastfeed. We do this through services run by fellow mums and parents that complement health services, our operation of the UK's 24/7 National Breastfeeding Helpline, the Drugs in Breast Milk Information Service, Breastfeeding Friendly Scheme and our accredited training for peers, professionals and organisations.

Objectives: The company's objects are: To inform, educate and support families in feeding and nurturing babies and young children. To enable communities to support breastfeeding through sharing information, training and volunteering. To contribute to evidence based policymaking for government, healthcare providers and educators. To promote the mental and physical wellbeing of mothers and babies through supporting breastfeeding
