We are a grassroots creative health and wellbeing charity, with a 25 year legacy of providing services to North Glasgow's most marginalised communities. We use a range of evidence-based tools to engage, educate, empower and energise local community members. Our aim is improve the health and wellbeing, and opportunities available to those facing challenges in relation to poor mental health, addiction, trauma, poverty, single parenthood, isolation, loneliness, disability and any other life stressors. We provide free service both in-house and on an outreach basis across Glasgow. Our services provide opportunity for people to engage with effective, creative health and wellbeing tools. These tools support people to develop a pattern of positive change in their lives, in relation to improved mental, social, emotional and physical health and wellbeing.
Objectives: 1 To advance the arts through providing a range of opportunities and support to stimulate interest and participation in music and arts for people in the north Glasgow area ('the Operating Area'). 2 To advance education and, in particular, to advance the education and skills of the public in relation to the performing arts. 3 To promote and/or provide training, particularly in relation to those skills which are relevant to employment in any field of the arts. 4 To advance citizenship and/or community development through utilising the performing arts (particularly music) to build the capabilities and confidence of people, including the development of transferable skills. 5 To promote equality and diversity and to relieve those who are in need by reason of financial hardship etc, by addressing issues of economic and social exclusion which act as barriers to involvement in the performing arts within the Operating Area. 6 To promote equality and diversity through raising awareness and increasing public knowledge and understanding of cultural and diversity issues through music and arts-based activities. 7 To promote, operate, establish and/or support other similar projects and programmes which further charitable purposes, particularly for the benefit of residents of the Operating Area.
