Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of education','the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage'

Kibble’s origins date back to 1841 when Miss Elizabeth Kibble, a textile heiress, left a portion of her wealth to establish the first incarnation of Kibble – a reformatory school for disadvantaged boys. While Kibble has evolved over the centuries, its purpose remains the same, to support those young people most in need. Today the charity, and leading social enterprise, provides dedicated care and support for children and young people aged 5-26 across the UK, many of whom have experienced significant trauma in their lives. The charity provides a safe, stable environment that is both nurturing and trauma-informed. With a robust network and wide range of integrated services, Kibble tailors support to the needs of each young person. Services include residential and community support, as well as dedicated education and wellbeing services. As Kibble continues to diversify, it does so with the vision of developing further innovative, high quality approaches to support more young people.
