Structuro. Govèrnance and Management
The SWI is a charitable unincorporated assoclation. and the purposes and administration
arrangem8nts are sél out In our CDnstitution. Perlh & Kinross Federation operate within the
main operating body in Edinburgh. We have 30 institules split geographically into groups, of which
there are 6.

The Executive Committee are the Charity Trustees who are appolntad by the m8mbers al general
meetings held Ihroughout the year.
ObJ•ctives and Activitios
Our purposes, as recorded in our constitution, are to advan¢e thg education and training of
women, who are mernbers, who live and work in the country. orare interested in country life, in home
skills, family welfare and citlZ8n8hip.
Our purposes also include the promotion of the
preservation and development of Scotland's traditions. rural heritage and culture.

We usually hold fund raislng events throughout the year- a Federation Show when members compte
In Home Skills, Handlcrafts and Floral Art competition. Quiz. The member8 also ￿Mpete in various
sports - walklng netball 8nd ruralymplcs, with the winnlng teams representing Perth and Kinross at the
national finals.
We have a subcommittèe. The Skills and Events Commlttee which promoles the preservation of
Scolland's Iradition and heritage and the education and training in home skllls, rural domèstic economy,
family welfare and cltlzenshlp.
Junlor Dlppers attend meetlngs every month Whe￿ they partlcipate In many crafts In the hop8 they
will cary on th8 skills and mosl of all joined the organisation when they come of age.
Achl•v•m•nt8 and P•rformanc•
In June we attended the Annual Area Lunch where member8 got together with members from Flf8 &
SCWP Federations. A fun quiz was held in June lo help Gover costs of sporting competltions, We
had a stand at Perth Show to promot8 th8 SWI & encourage new members. We held a very
SUCC88sful Feder8tlon Show In October wllh Ihe 8chedul8 belng carrled forw8rd from the previous
year after that Show havlng lo bg cancelled dve to we8ther condltion8.
No maln fundralsing event was held thls year as It wa8 lelt the Feder8llon Show had ra18ed enough
funds.
Junlor Dlppers have contlnued to meet every month, partlclpatlng on dlff8rent cr8fts, belng
demonslraled malnly by our own members.
Walking Netball h88 continued to be popular & meet twice a month, enjoying each other's
company & keeping fit.
The Ex8cullve conlinues to meet over zoom. k8eping the c08t of tr8vel & h811 hlre to 8
minimum.

Excess funds are deposlted in Fixed Tenn Dep081t accounts and are rolled over on maturlty,
accumulatlng a small amount of interest. One matures every six months 8nd the other, from whlch
we receive annual Interest into the current account. every two years.
A levy of £5 was collected from each member.

I report on the Accourbts of the Federation for the year ended 31 March 2025 which ara sel out on
pages 4 to 8.

Th8 Fedeialion's Trust8es are responsible for the preparation of the Accounts in accordance With lh8
lerms of the Charltles and Trustee Investrnent (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts
(Scotlandl Regulatlons 2008 {as amended). The Federation's Trustees conslder that the audit
requirement of Ragulation 10{1) (d) of thé Accounts Regulalion5 does nol apply. It is my responslbility
to examlne the Accounts as required under Section 44(1)1¢) of thé Act and to stale whether particular
mailers have come lo my attenlion.

operate within the main offering body in Edinburgh. We have 30
Institutes split geographically into 4 areas.
Trustee recruiknent and appointment
The ExecLrtive Committee are the charity trustees who are appointed by
the members at the Annual General meetings held throughout the year.

Our purposes as recorded in our constitution, are to advance the
education and training of women, who are members, who live and work

welfare and citizenship. Also to promote the preservation and
development of Scotland's tradits'on, rural herrtage and culture.
Summary of the main activities
in relation to these objects
We hold various fund-raising events and meetings throughout the year, a
Federation Show when members compete in Home Skills, Handcrafts
and Floral Art competition and also an annual Quiz.
Members also compete in various sports- Golf, outdoor b0￿Ing,
walking netball and ruralympics, with the winning teams representing
Perth & Kinross at national finals.
We have sub committees.. (1) Skills & Events, which promotes the
preservation of Scotland's tradition & heritage and the education &
training in Homeskills ,Handcrafts and citizenship.

Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements
of the charity during the financial
period
In June many members joined ladies from Fife and SCWP Federations
at the annual Area Lunch this year hosted by Fife.
A fun Quiz was held ts'n June to raise funds to cover costs of sporting
competitions.
A stall was held at Perth Show to promote the SWI & encourage new
members. A very successful Federation Show was held in October along
with a Coffee Morning for the local residents.
We did not hold a big fvndraiser this year as it was felt that the show had
raised enough funds.
Junior Dippers have continued to meet monthly , participating in different
crafts, being demonstrated mainly by members.
Walking Netball has continued I￿Ice a month, with members enjoying
each others company & keeping fit.
The executive continues to meet over zoom, keeping the cost of travel &
hall hire to a minimum.
