**What the charity does:** Established in 1996, Children’s Parliament is dedicated to the realisation of children’s human rights in Scotland. We work with children up to the age of 14. We work in both general and targeted ways. Our targeted programmes involve children who face challenges in their lives and include children who are seldom heard. We use creative approaches in all of our work, these offer children the chance to participate in ways that are fun and at a level best suited to their ability and interests.

**Objectives:** (a) to advance education, knowledge and awareness of children's rights, their citizenship and their place in communities.  b) to encourage children and young people to acquire the skills and self-confidence to participate, influence and shape their lives and their communities. and  (c) to promote and advance equality and diversity within communities and particularly amongst children and young people.
